NEBOSH IGC
NEBOSH International General Certificate is a globally recognized health and safety qualification intended for companies or individuals working on international standards with regards to Health, Safety & Environment. This course focuses on the International Labor Standards (ILO) codes of practice. Upon successful completion of the NEBOSH IGC Training, delegates can apply for a membership with Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and/or International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM) as its qualification meets the academic requirements for Technician Membership (Tech IOSH) of IOSH and Associate membership (AIIRSM) of the IIRSM.

What Does the Qualification Cover?
The NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) covers the principles relating to health and safety, identification and control of workplace hazards, assessing level of risk and the practical application of this knowledge. The NEBOSH IGC Syllabus takes a risk management approach based on best practice and international standards, such as the International Labor Organization (ILO) codes of practice. Local laws and cultural factors may form part of the study program where relevant and appropriate.

How NEBOSH IGC course is assessed?
This qualification is comprised of 2 units, each of which is assessed separately.
· IG1 is assessed by 02 hours written examination consisting of ten short answer questions and one long answer question for each Unit. All questions are compulsory and external examiners appointed by NEBOSH marks the scripts of the candidates.
· IG2 is practical assessment carried out in the workplace after sitting the final NEBOSH exam. This practical unit will be assessed by Professional Safety Training & Consultancy and externally moderated by NEBOSH.
